The magical combo of the stylish, horn-led JMQ Jazz Ensemble with local Jazz diva Yvette Johansson, will present some Blue Note instrumentals favoured by the JMQ, but mainly feature upon the Great Jazz Standards that you all know and love, presented by one of Australia’s finest jazz voices.

Yvette Johansson is a versatile and stylish jazz artiste, who can sing in many languages and is at home on any stage. She has earnt an enviable and well-deserved reputation within the jazz scene, with influences ranging from Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Blossom Dearie to Astrud Gilberto, Anita Baker, Doris Day and many others. She provides a dynamic and engaging show, that will satisfy the most impassioned jazz lover.

John Montesante Quintet is characterised by its quality players and versatilty, in performing with many of the finest musicians and singers in this town. And their Jazz knowledge is encyclopeadic. Band-leader John’s enjoyment of the modern jazz masters of the bop era, means that you will hear superb arrangements of works from that golden era in Jazz history.
