Free entry (no cover charge) for AJM members at Dizzy’s Jazz Club gigs this week:

1.    Friday, 30th September – Anne Hayres Trio with Peter McCutcheon and Leon Heale. Anne Hayres is a jazz vocalist who sings with the mellow sounds of the 1950s jazz singers. Her wide repertoire is sourced from the great Jazz Standards as well as the Beatles, Paul Simon, Sting and Leonard Cohen.

2.    Saturday, 1st October – Miriam Waks with Joe Ruberto Trio. New York based Australian vocalist Miriam Waks is a diverse and vibrant performer, who can sing in 16 languages. She has performed across the globe from Cube to Macau, and recently performedat the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (2015).

3.    Tuesday, 4th October – St Leonard’s. The students of St Leonard’s perform at Dizzy’s Jazz Club.

4.    Wednesday, 5th October – Dizzy’s Big Band. Dizzy’s outstanding 18-piece Big Band perform at Dizzy’s, playing traditional arrangements from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Count Basie and Duke Ellington through to modern masters such as Gordon Goodwin and Tom Harrell.
