A Few Facts

• Look for the paperclip which indicates an attached multimedia item
• We've got 108k tracks and over 38k have audio - we're working hard to finish them all
• There over 35k parties, 42k+ images plus over 690k musos with instruments attached to music tracks
• In the release the audio for Music tracks s limited to a random 30 seconds 'bite' - but hear more by trying again.

Example Searches

• Did you know that one of Australian Jazz artists was Graeme Bell AO MBE was an artwork designer as well. Try searching for his linocut piece by entering the phrase The Music Goes Round & Round into the search parameter.
• What about Ade Monsbourgh's famous plastic saxophone? Other owners included Charlie Parker & David Bowie. Search for Ade alto sax to view it.
• Founder of the AJM was Dr Ray Marginson AM. Can you find the type of instrument he played.

Objects may also include attached images for viewing, audio for listening & video for watching.

Parties — People & Organisations

The Parties table records contributors and associated bodies.

• Individual People as artists/musicians, composers, interviewers, photographer, authors etc.
• Groups or Organisations as bands, composers, publishers, manufacturers etc

These records connect creators, performers and organisations to collection items.

Tracks — Musical Works

Tracks are a subset of Music objects.

• Song Name
• Band / Artist
• Composer
• Playable digital audio file

Tracks link musicians, instruments and performances together.
